This morning, Xiamen Metro ushered in a milestone moment as the first electric passenger car for Metro Line 4 rolled off the production line at CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co., Ltd., marking the end of the trial production phase of the electric passenger car and its upcoming mass production and delivery.
Xiamen Metro Line 4 is a fully automatic driving electric passenger car. The entire line is equipped with 18 B2-type electric passenger cars with 4 cars (3 driving and 1 trailing). It adopts an aluminum alloy drum-shaped body, has a rated passenger capacity of 818 people, and a maximum operating speed of 120km/h. It is the fastest "Flash" in the Xiamen Metro family.
The electric passenger cars on Line 4 adopt the GOA4 level fully automatic driving operation mode, add door auxiliary pneumatic locks and air conditioning active exhaust devices, and the train control circuit uses a contactless logic control unit with the highest safety level (SIL4 level). The car is equipped with large luggage racks, USB and wireless charging devices, which will bring you a "better, smarter and more comfortable" riding experience.
Xiamen Metro, in collaboration with vehicle manufacturers, traction system suppliers, independent third-party safety assessment companies and other units, has made a number of technological breakthroughs in the design and production research that lasted for more than two years, including "faster speed, lower noise, smoother ride, safer operation, and more comprehensive services". It took 227 days from the first trial production to production, which resulted in the high appearance, high quality and strong strength of the electric bus.
Before rolling off the production line, the electric bus passed a number of tests, including rain tests, dynamic and static functional tests, emergency braking distance tests and unmanned driving function tests, and achieved high scores in all tests.
The first electric passenger car for Metro Line 4 is expected to arrive at Houxi Depot in Xiamen in the near future for further commissioning and pre-acceptance work.
