Yonggui Gangways-The First Train of Taiyuan Metro Line 1 Rolled off the Assembly Line Successfully

At about 2:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024, with a loud whistle, the first train of Taiyuan Metro Line 1, which was highly anticipated by Shanxi citizens, officially rolled off the assembly line at CRRC Dalian Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. Liu Jianwen, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of Taiyuan Rail Transit Group, and Wang Fenglian, member of the Party Committee and chief planner, and a group of five people were invited to attend the rolling off the assembly line ceremony. Lin Cunzeng, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of CRRC Dalian Company, Dai Xingjun, secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, Song Xiepeng, deputy general manager, and relevant leaders and guests from China Railway Engineering Design Consulting Group Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Zhongzi Urban Rail Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd. and other units jointly attended the rolling off the assembly line ceremony.

The vehicles for the first phase of Taiyuan Metro Line 1 are Type A vehicles developed and produced with the highest automation level of GoA4 for fully automatic driving. They are characterized by high efficiency and heavy load, green intelligence, safety and reliability, and digital energy saving . The train is composed of 4 motors and 2 trailers with a maximum operating speed of 80km/h and a maximum passenger capacity of 2,592 people per train. It can realize multiple functions such as automatic wake-up, automatic operation, automatic sleep, and remote control . Compared with the vehicles of Taiyuan's first subway Line 2, the vehicles of Line 1 have been further optimized and upgraded in terms of lighting systems, air-conditioning systems, and intelligent operation and maintenance systems, which perfectly match the performance improvement with the comfort and experience of riding. The vehicle shape is derived from the morphological characteristics of wild herons on the Fen River in Taiyuan, showing the perfect fusion of industrial products and natural forms.

At the off-line ceremony, Lin Cunzeng said that as the vehicle supplier for Taiyuan Metro Line 1, since receiving the vehicle order, with the strong support of all parties, we have fully utilized our own advantages in technology, management, and talents, increased resource mobilization efforts, and scientifically organized on-site construction to ensure that the first train rolled off the line as scheduled. The next step is to continue to focus on the goal, coordinate the schedule, speed up the work, complete the vehicle production task with quality and quantity, and write a new chapter and create new achievements for the cooperation between CRRC Dalian and Taiyuan Metro.

In his speech, Liu Jianwen expressed his sincere congratulations on the successful launch of the first train of Taiyuan Metro Line 1. He pointed out that Taiyuan Metro and CRRC Dalian Company worked together in the construction of Line 1 to promote vehicle production with the concept of "high-standard design and high-level construction". The launch of the first train this time marks that Taiyuan Metro Line 1 has taken another key step forward after the "tunnel connection" and "track connection", which will lay a solid foundation for the scheduled opening of the entire line. It is hoped that CRRC Dalian Company will seize the opportunity and speed up the follow-up work to ensure that the first train arrives on time at the end of January 2024 and the remaining vehicles are delivered on time; all builders of Line 1 should work hard, anchor the important nodes such as "electrical connection", joint debugging and testing, and trial operation of the entire line, and make persistent efforts to contribute another high-quality rail transit line to Bingzhou with hard work.

After the off-line ceremony, Liu Jianwen and his team conducted a preliminary phased acceptance of the first train. After that, the train will undergo static and dynamic type tests at CRRC Dalian Company. Once it passes the tests, it will be sent to Taiyuan in the near future and officially unveiled in Bingzhou.
