Project Highlights
Chongqing Monorail Line 3 spans across multiple core areas of Chongqing. It starts from Jurenba Station in Yubei District, passes through prosperous areas such as Jiangbei District, Yuzhong District, and Nan'an District, and ends at Yudong Station in Banan District. The total length of the line is approximately 67 kilometers, with a total of 45 stations. It is the longest straddle-type monorail transit line in the world.
The straddle-type monorail design. This unique track structure enables it to adapt to Chongqing's complex and variable topography. It has strong climbing capabilities and small turning radii, allowing it to travel easily on steep slopes and narrow streets.
The operation mode of using advanced rubber tires in contact with the track beam significantly reduces the noise and vibration during the train's running. Even in the bustling urban areas, it can create a relatively quiet and comfortable environment for the surrounding residents and passengers. At the same time, this operation mode increases the friction between the train and the track, enhancing the safety and stability of the train's operation. Even in rainy or humid conditions, it can ensure the train travels smoothly, providing reliable travel assurance for passengers.
Based on the structure of straddle-type monorail train, Chongqing Yonggui’s team successfully designed a unique gangway system tailored to this application, Below is the gangway’s highlights
Feature: lightweight structure, no ceiling board and wall panel, low maintenance cost, and easy to connect and disconnect with the car body.
